To help to guide us through our journey tonight I would ask you to go back to your weekend and think about one of the more profound moments in your weekend adventure.

You were asked to pick an Animal name (real or mythical) that had meaning for you. Tonight I would like you to take a few minutes to think about this creature.

For our meeting I would like you to take a moment and reflect on the following?

  • What do you feel when think about your spirit animal, your super being?
  • What comes up for you about your life when you are thinking about this spirit being?
  • What do you see going forward as you take stock of your current life’s situation?

We will explore these feelings and more during our gathering in-circle.

Good evening or good morning for some of you Men.

I would like to start by taking a moment men to do a whip-check in.

But before we do that I would like to ask you to do is to go to your name up on the screen and click it and change it to your animal name.

As you are doing this please think about your animal name. If you don’t have an animal name pick an animal that is meaningful and important to you and your spirit.

Be thinking how your animal name feels to you?

Next, we will do a whip check in. I would ask you to say in just a few words; state your animal name and why it is meaningful to you. Please use just a few words to state your animal name and the feeling it elicits in you.

I will model this for you men now.

    1. I want to prepare you now to take a journey inside your body.
    1. Please get settled in your chair or seat and listen to my voice. We will take a mental journey to get to your heart centered space and to move out of your thinking space.
    1. Please close your eyes

Take a moment to center yourself in your chair.

  • You are sitting in a quiet place.
  • Get comfortable in the chair or place that you are sitting.
  • Closing your eyes.

Slowly breathe in and breathe out.

Tonight, I want to talk about how I get to a settled mind to allow myself the opportunity to feel all of my energies. Both light and dark. A way I find to deal with this chaos in our world and the difficulties of our time. What I do is try to go into my heart and the rhythm of my body instead of the thoughts in my head. When I go inside my heart and body – I find a space that is calm and quiet – loving and inviting. Letting my heart lead me gives me a chance to hear the rhythm of my life. The ebb and flow of emotions. An openness to change and commitment while reducing the shadows that may otherwise prevail.

Let’s begin by listening to our breath. First, breathe in slowly and listen to the silence of the room or space you are in.

Breathe with me.

Breathe in and breathe out slowly.

Maybe you can hear some sound far away. Let that sound come into your space. Notice it, and then and let it go as it leaves your presence and fads away.

Listen only to my voice.

Hear only the sound of my voice and your breathing.

Draw another breath in and slowly let it out.

As you breathe in, focus on the air filling your lungs. As the air is filling your lungs imagine that flow of air coursing through your body and reaching all the way to your toes.

Breathe in and breathe out slowly.

With each breath you become more relaxed, more calm. Let yourself go. Let yourself go deeper and deeper into a state of calm and peace. Let your thoughts melt away and listen to your heart and feel the flow of air going in and out of your body.

Breathe in and breathe out slowly.

[Scherzo]

Ideas may start to enter your head and things will come and go. Let them in, but try not to focus on them. Simply notice them. Let them enter and present themselves, and with your next breath simply blow them away out of your space and out of your body.

As you continue to breathe in and breathe out slowly.

Listen to the beat of your heart. Sometimes it helps to put your two fingers of one hand on the wrist of the other to feel your pulse. Feel the warm air entering your lungs and simply let yourself go.

Breathe in and breathe out slowly.

Feel the beat of your heart. Feel the flow of air coursing through your body.

[Rondo]

Keeping your eyes closed, breathing in and out slowly.

  • Notice your feet – wiggle your toes.
  • Arch both feet at the same time.
  • Feel the inner arch of your foot.
  • Stretch your feet as if for a yawn… and then let your feet fall quietly in their place.
  • Now notice your ankles.
  • Rotate each foot and then let them lay quietly in their place.
  • Feel your calves, let them be resting now with relaxed muscles.
  • Now feel the muscles in your thighs in both legs, let them relax and become quiet and let your legs sag into a resting state.
  • Imagine the coursing of your blood through your legs all the way from your heat in your chest to your toes.
  • Put one hand on your heart and take a moment to feel the pulse as you…
  • Breathe in and breathe out slowly.
  • Feel your body totally relax.

Keep breathing in and out deeply and slowly.

      Be calm and secure in the space that you are resting.
    1. Nothing can invade this moment.
    1. Nothing can disturb your inner being.
    1. Let the energy rise in your body with every pulse and then feel as it wanes into a calm and resting state as you exhale.

Now with your hands resting in your lap, let all your thoughts melt away as you listen only to my voice.

Breathe in and breathe out slowly.

Now, sitting calmly and quietly with your arms and hands in your lap in complete calm and in a resting state. Feeling the rhythm of your breathing as you slowly breathe in and out.

Breathe in and breathe out.

I want you now to think of your animal name. If you don’t have an animal name then imagine seeing your favorite animal sitting in front of you.

Take a moment to see your animal in front of you.

Full sized and breathing – in front of you.

Breathe in and breathe out.

Notice that your creature is looking at you.
You can feel that you understand this creature and this creature understands you.
Now you are feeling connected to that animal from the heart.

Look into the eyes of your creature and see the love and warmth it projects to you in every way.

The heart beat of your animal is in sync with the beat of your own heart.

You are both breathing in and out at the same rate.

You feel a warmth and wisdom from this companion in your life’s journey.

Breathe in and breathe out slowly.

You see the animal in front of you and as you look at the animal… you can now see through it and realize that you and the animal have become one.

Take a moment to feel that you are now this super creature. You and your spirit being are one.

Breathe in and breathe out slowly.

You are now seeing out of the eyes of this magnificent creature. You are connected in a way like no other in your life. You are now hearing and seeing everything the animal is hearing and seeing.

Take a moment to breathe in and out as you are now this super being. Your super being. You are a super being.

Breathe in and breathe out slowly.

I want you to take a moment and make the sound of this animal.

Out loud, make the sound of this creature.

What does this real or imagined creature sound like?

You are alone, we cannot see or hear you, so speak the sound of your creature… loud and clear.

This is your super being.

Take a moment and breathe in and breathe out.

Hear your super being ringing in your ears now as you just said it.

Breathe in and breathe out slowly.

Stand Up!

Stand up and move about your space. Start to move as you would as this super being creature. Your super being. You are this super being.

Get up out of your chair and move your body as you the super being would move.

You have become this super being.
You now have the ability to see everything in your past.
The ability to see everything you are as a person and have done in your life.
The ability to love every aspect of you – as this super being you can feel the power of who you have become.

Take a deep breathe while standing.

Stretch your arms out raised above you. Go on tippy toes. Reach for the sky!

Feel the super being coursing through your body.

Be at one with you and your spirit animal.

Now, stop moving and breathe in and breathe out slowly as you stand there.

Take a moment to let your body relax now.

Take your seat in your chair again.

Breathe in and breathe out slowly.

Take a moment to let your spirit animal fade out of you and become the man you are.
You are no longer a super being.
You are no longer one with your spirit animal.
You are now a man sitting in a relaxed way.

Breathe in and breathe out slowly.

See the authentic man you saw in your super being. See the man who sits without judgement. See the real man who has feelings and is caring for all living things.

Breathe in and breathe out slowly.

Take this moment to say goodbye to your spirit animal and let that animal fade away at this time.

Breathe in and breathe out slowly.

Take a moment now to open your eyes.

Sit in a relaxed and calm way.

Breathe in and breathe out.

Now, sit for a minute and reflect on your experience.

Slowly, as you can,

  • Open your eyes.
  • Turn back on the video.
  • Unmute the sound.

Now, what I would like to do is break up into pairs and have each man tell his partner about their experience.

Each man will take turns answering the following 3 questions:

  • What did you feel when you entered your spirit animal, your super being?
  • What came up for you about your life?
  • What do you see going forward as you take stock of your current situation?

We break into pairs for about 10 minutes.
5 minutes for each man.
Then we will return back to our session together.

Welcome to the Wisdom Warriors circle tonight.

Now fully and stretch your body to reinvigorate yourself and join the room.

I want to increase the safety and effectiveness of the circle by allowing men to be more fully present. We will do this first by:

  • Self Accountability– each man is invited to own any places in his life where he is out of accountability in such a way that will diminish his ability to stay present in the circle.

Next I want to address any Support Accountabilities.

  • Support Accountability– if a man is in uncertain as to whether another man in the circle has kept an agreement that MAY have been made, an invitation is made to that other man to consider this issue. Whether the other man accepts the invitation or not is entirely up to him.

And Finally Clearings.

  • Clearings – if a man has “energy” or “a charge” about another man in the circle, that energy may impact the trust level within the circle, and we invite them to “clear” that energy using a facilitated clearing process.
